Insurance Plans We Accept at Family Vision Care Optometry

Many patients have questions about how insurance applies to eye care, and we’re here to make the process clearer. We can review your medical and vision benefits and let you know what to expect before your appointment.

Vision Plans We Accept

Vision plans typically cover routine eye exams and vision correction, including glasses and contact lenses. In many cases, your benefits apply to a comprehensive exam with a glasses prescription, as well as frames, lenses, or contact lens services from our optical department.

If you are unsure whether your visit should be billed under vision or medical coverage, our staff can review the reason for your appointment and explain how your benefits may apply.

Medical Plans We Accept

Medical insurance applies when we evaluate or treat an eye health concern rather than provide routine vision correction.

This includes issues such as eye infections, dry eye, sudden vision changes, glaucoma, macular changes, diabetic eye disease, or emergencies that need prompt attention.

When your visit focuses on diagnosing or managing these conditions, we explain how your medical plan will be billed and answer any questions about potential out-of-pocket costs.
